Who wouldn’t want to celebrate their wedding on the shores of Lake Garda? Nina and Martin came to Salò all the way from Germany, driven by their passion for this lovely region that, as a wedding photographer at Lake Garda, I have gotten to know very well. For the event, the couple chose Villa Bissiniga, a gorgeous location. The ceremony takes place only a few kilometres away, in the church of San Martino in the Gardone Riviera.
On the wedding day the couple is cheery, yet a little tense. Nina especially so. For them it is a dream coming true. While Martin gets ready, the best men are all around him helping and keeping him company. The atmosphere is carefree and exuberant and reveals the strong and long-lasting friendship they share. At Nina’s the mood is more intimate and composed. Her mother and maid of honour keep her company while Arianna Goldoni, her make-up artist, applies the finishing touches of blusher on her cheeks. The groom meanwhile caves in and, as per tradition, toasts with whiskey on the balcony of the marvellous Villa Bissiniga. The bride, instead, is moved as ever when she finally steps into the crimson vintage car that will take her to the church.
When she reaches the chapel doorstep, Nina is glowing. The summery lake breeze caresses the scene and her white gown glimmers in the warm sunlight. Martin’s look reveals that never for a second has he stopped loving her as he did on their first day together. He almost rushes towards Nina to escort her to the altar and turn their biggest dream into a reality; to be a family, forever.
After the religious ceremony we are back in Salò – Lake Garda, where the reception will take place in the exquisite park of the villa, masterly decorated for the occasion. In the background, the horizon stretches limitlessly, just like Nina and Martin’s love, between the sky, the earth, the lake and the clouds. Congratulation guys!
